Hahanaru Rice

I designed a promotional poster for Hahanaru Rice, featured across Maruhachi Ramen's restaurant locations, storefronts, and their Costco Wholesale channel, highlighting it as the rice used behind their Signature Beef Bowls. The design was anchored by a hand-drawn digital illustration of Mount Fuji, rendered with texture and an organic quality to evoke a sense of calm and transport the viewer to Japan. A retro-inspired aesthetic tied the piece together, balancing heritage with visual warmth.

About the Brand

Hahanaru is a brand of premium Japanese Koshihikari rice, a short-grain rice variety that is often used in Japanese cuisine. Its grains hold a sweet flavour and an inherently sticky texture, yet retains its shape and bite, which makes it an appealing choice widely used by Michelin starred Japanese restaurants.
