The Habit Factory is a startup founded by two OCAD graduates whose main goal is to empower the upcoming generation of creative thinkers and doers. Habit Factory hosts online workshops that aim to help young and emerging professionals hone in their skills and embark on a short but productive journey of self-growth.

Along with 5 other designers from the New Kid Collective, we worked on a branding refresh — a new logo, refreshed typography, colour palette, other branding elements, social media graphics, and a website redesign.

We provided a number of visual directions based on a brand audit and continued forward with one of many thoroughly developed concepts that was refined as a team. Habit Factory’s re-brand keeps their friendly and outgoing personality, introducing a gamut of playful colours for a variety of applications, while establishing a professional tone to set Habit Factory up for success.

We introduced a badge system to extend the Habit Factory experience beyond the online workshops, and reinforce the space’s positive and encouraging characteristics throughout its social media presence. Using the bright branding colours, we incorporated fun animations to make the programs more enticing and look more dynamic.
