49th Parallel is a Vancouver based brand producing and crafting specialty coffee, endeavouring in seeking the exceptional and focusing on sustainable sourcing. As the graphic designer, I work with the Creative Director in all creative aspects of the business. The design portion of my role covers e-commerce needs, packaging and label design, social media design, email marketing design, in-cafe signage, and more. Additionally, my role includes photography work, in which I participate in planning and executing promotional and product photoshoots, editing and selecting quality shots to represent our brand and campaigns.

Within this page of my portfolio, I’ve showcased few of many creative projects I’ve had a chance to work on and collaborate with the team at 49th Parallel. As a growing company, I’m always looking for new ways to push our concepts and content and looking forward to what the future brings us.

Merging my interest in specialty coffee and the cafe experience with my passion for design and photography, this role has allowed me to grow and hone in my skills within my creative practices while doing what I love in gaining experience in the coffee industry.

 

Social Media

Curating a cohesive Instagram feed, creating Instagram story layouts, brainstorming ways to push content and sell products, assisting with the creative process of creating and publishing reels, 49th’s social media design is an integral part in connecting with the community.

 
 
 

Email Design & Marketing

Whether it be announcing the launches of our new coffee and products throughout the year, sharing our knowledge on how to enjoy coffee to the fullest, or educating our community on direct trade sourcing of 49th coffee, newsletter and email marketing plays a large role within the brand.

 
 

Photography
